Wow, he cut off all his hair too! This is actually a very good skill for a missionary... the ability to steal little bits of time and sleep, anywhere. Otherwise you are a walking zombie!
No worries. My bro was exactly the same way as Ryan and he's doing awesome in LA. He just had his first 3 baptisms and he's only been in LA for a month!
I don't know what you guys saw, but he is totally praying! He just put the tie there since it was going to be such a long prayer he didn't want a nasty line on his head!
