Snowmobiling!

I'm a little late on this, but I wanted to post about our AMAZING snomobiling trip. We went as a family up to Idaho to go snowmobiling in Yellowstone. I had never been on a snowmobile before and was a little nervous because of all the stories I had heard from past trips, but I had a total blast and didn't cause and damage to my machine .......thankfully! It's really a fun activity and I can't wait to do it again! Plus it was awesome to see all the friends and family up north... we love you guys!!!

We got there Fri night and went to Big Juds for the best hamburgers. The famous Billy Howard decided He was going to eat a triple aka a 3lb burger!!! And, aside from a few scraps of bun, he finished. WOW!

Saturday was reserved for a full day of snowmobiling, which left everyone a little sore afterwards. But, the weather was good, and despite a few mishaps, we all returned safe and sound :)
We were so excited to see our WONDERFUL friends Meagan and Ryan... We love these guys so much!!
Sunday was a relaxing day of visiting, playing cards, and hanging out. And we were on our way home Monday. The trip was wonderful and we had such a great time. My only complaint was the bumby plane ride home, but then again, I'm a nervous flyer :)

Happy Birthday Bryce!!!

Bryce hit the big 2-5 today. That's right, he's a whole quarter of a century old! He got his present (new b-ball shoes) a week ago and we went snowmobiling last weekend, so his birthday had been well celebrated in advance. After that you'd think Bryce was in for a pretty mellow Birthday.... right?....Wrong!!! Since we both conveniently had some time this afternoon, we decided to go LOOK at cars. Well, you guessed it, we bought one! It's a charcoal gray 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer and we LOVE it. Not to mention we got a killer deal because they're desperate to sell cars right now. I'm pretty sure this is the most "adult" thing I have ever done in my life (besides getting married) so it did feel a little weird but best of all, we got 0% financing so we don't have to pay ANY interest... I think that's exciting. So here's the Birthday Boy with our new baby...

WOW

Thanks to everyone that weighed in on the apartment stituation. If you read all the comments, then you saw that there were at least two other people in different locations that came across the same scam and had similar experiences, so we can make this one as a big fat PHONEY.

Just as I was about to lose my faith in craigslist, Bryce got a phone call today about his truck. He put the add up over 2 weeks ago and had received a few crappie offers, so we just kind of forgot about it. Then this guys in Lakewood called saying he almost bought another truck, but then decided to do one more search..... and Bryce's truck popped up. He came over to see it tonight and..... HE BOUGHT IT!!!!

It all happened really fast and we weren't expecting any of this, so it feels kind of weird right now, but we are excited about it and got much more for it than we would have gotten through a trade-in.

So we're officially in the market for a new (or new to us) car... We are still leaning towards a Lancer or Mazda 3/6, but the only thing we know for sure is that we want a sedan.... Any suggestions?

Picture Post

Excuse the randomness, but I finally got around to uploading some pics from my camera and let's face it, I take a lot of pictures, so on the blog they go! Last week, Ryan, Bryce's brother became and Eagle Scout. It was a lot of hard work and we are really proud of him! Here are some pics from the court of honor.

Aww...

With the folks

Bryce talking about Ryan

Next, we have REALLY been enjoying our Disneyland passes! We have gone 5 times since Christmas and we have a blast whenever we go. It's nice to be able to say, "We're bored....let's go to Disney land!"

On the Zepher Ride at California Adventure

I killed Bryce on the New Toy Story ride (which is awesome)

Bryce doesn't like Zurg

Also, Bryce has been playing for our ward in the stake basketball league, and in our stake, it truly is the brawl that begins with a prayer...
Next, I would like you to meet my youth basketball team. We just finished our season last Saturday and (not to toot my own horn or anything but...) we went undefeated! These guys are such great kids with good attitudes I absolutely love them! This Saturday officially wraps up the progam with a skills competition between all the teams in the division. They do this instead of a "championship game" because it is less competative and gives all the kids a chance to show their stuff, no matter how their team did in the season. Good Luck Red Vikings!

Yes, I made the poster.

And, Last Sunday, I got to visit/ eat/ watch the Superbowl with some wonderful friends, but these guys were by far my fav. :) How can you resist these faces!

And last but not least, this little beauty arrived in the mail today. Yes, it's legit, I'm a college grad and I have the DIPLOMA to prove it. Yeah!

The End :)
