I know, I know...

It's been a while, but honestly life has just been moving right along with nothing really to report on. However, I did manage to scrape up a few mildly entertaining bits of info for you guys...
First, Bryce got a job! So what if it's only for the next three months! Haha. He'll be doing the job his sister normally does at a tax firm here in Los Al.
From what I understand, it's painfully easy, so yay for saving up a little extra money! He's going to have some rough hours doin his internship and this job, but it will be fine.
As for me, I started riding this to work. Now, before you say to your self "How health concious!" or "How green!" it really has nothing to do with either. The medical office I work at is across the street from the hospital and there is little to no parking on a regular basis. The little bit of parking this is happens to be two hour parking only. I'm usually there for 3-4 hours so I managed to park there for a while and not get a ticket. However, the ladies I work with ALL got tickets a few weeks ago and have subsequently been getting tickets since. Seeing as I'm not interested in paying any parking tickets, I decided I should try riding my bike (since it's so close) and not have to worry about tickets. We'll, it was a good choice and I have come to love my morning bike ride and I guess it doesn't hurt to be a little more green/ healthy :) But seriously, who makes parking around a hospital and a bunch of medical offices 2 hour ? I guess it's perfect for the patients that come in, but what about the people who work there? I don't get it...

On another note, there is one matter I could use a little help on..

We have lately been pondering bying a new one of these...

or these

We would be trading in Bryce's truck because we're kinda sick of having two 'big' cars that don't get the best gas mileage. We keep going back and fourth because Bryce still love his truck and all so he came up with what HE thought was the perfect solution... keep both cars and buy one of these...Now, my dad has a Vespa and I have always loved riding it and I would LOVE to have a new one, but I'm not sure it's practical at this point. Bryce's argument is that he could use it for running errands and little things around town and not have to waste gas in the truck. Also, where ever he goes to school, if we move close enough to campus, he can commute on it. My problem is that our cars are the same age and although they are fine now, they will probably die at the same time down the road. When that day comes, I don't want to be stuck in the position of having to buy 2 new cars and wishing we had saved the money we spent on the Vespa. I don't know, maybe I'm being unreasonable. What do you think?

Something Fun

2009 has gotten off to a great start. I'm working back at the Rec. doing lots of fun stuff, but I also got a second job as an office assistant in a medical office. It's an awesome job and everyone who works there is so sweet. Both jobs are keeping me super busy which is good while I'm waiting for CA to start hiring teachers again :( Bryce on the other hand, started his internship this week at the Orang County Public Defender's Office. He LOVES it! He is enjoying being in the fast-paced legal environment, and he even gets to interview criminals and visit the jail! LOL. But seriously, he's gaining a ton of valuable experience so it's rad. That's about all that's new with us, but just for fun, I have seen this on a few blogs and decided to try it...

The Holidays in Review

I can't believe the Holidays are over already. It seems like they go by a little faster each year. We had a ton of fun with family and friends. Having both families living in the same city can be challenging, but all in all, we are lucky to be able to spend time with all of them. We exchanged gifts with the Ricks on Christmas morning, and then again with my family on Christmas night. At my house, we had a 5 dollar spending limit which made things much more interesting as we all had to get creative.

The day after Christmas we ventured to Disneyland. It had been over 2 years since we had been, so I was wayexcited to say the least :) It was so fun and I LOVED seeing everything decked out for Christmas. The fire works were awesome too, but they had to stop the show after ten minutes because it was too windy.... bummer. But, Bryce and I ended up getting passes so now we can go back all the time :)

Then, the other night we went with some friends to the Irvine Spectrum, some ice-skated but we had fun running around taking random pictures....

Since it's been Christmas break and the kids are out of school, that means Day Camp! I've had lots of fun seeing the kids at camp and doing all sorts of activites...

Freeze Dance... this kid was a little too into it.
